Beaches - Five of the Best Beaches – All Within 15 Minutes!
We’re not just blessed with a cracking pub and campsite—we’ve also got some of the best beaches in the UK (and, according to Condé Nast, the world!) right on our doorstep. Within just 15 minutes of The Spec, you’ll find five stunning beaches, each with its own unique charm:
Barafundle Bay
Regularly ranked among the best beaches in the world, Barafundle is basically the Caribbean, but in Wales—golden sand, turquoise waters, and no crowds (as long as you don’t tell too many people).
Broad Haven South
A vast, breathtaking bay, complete with the famous Church Rock standing proudly in the sea. Perfect for long walks, big waves, and those dramatic “I could live here forever” moments.
Freshwater West
Surfer’s paradise and home to the famous Dobby’s grave from Harry Potter (yes, really). Whether you're catching waves or paying your respects to a beloved house-elf, it's a must-visit.
Freshwater East
A sandy, family-friendly gem, great for swimming, rock pooling, and generally feeling smug that you’ve found such an incredible spot.
West Angle Bay
Tucked away at the end of the peninsula, Angle offers a mix of sand, pebbles, and stunning views, plus a great pub right on the water—ideal for a post-beach pint or fish burger.
So, whether you're after golden sands, rolling waves, hidden coves, or just a place to kick back and soak up the views, you’re spoiled for choice. And the best part? After a long day at the beach, The Spec is here for a well-earned drink and a hearty meal. Sounds like the perfect day to us!
