Things to Do – Because You Can’t Spend All Day at the Pub (Apparently)
Sure, The Spec is a pretty great place to spend your time, but if you fancy stretching your legs (or just working up an appetite for your next meal), there’s plenty to do around here.
From historical sights to wild adventures, we’ve got something for everyone.
Taste Local Food Delights
From fresh seafood at The Old Point House to award-winning meals at Paternoster Farm and Stackpole Inn, Pembrokeshire is a foodie’s dream. And, of course, we’ve got proper home-cooked pub grub right here at The Spec—so honestly, you don’t have to go far.
Explore Castles
If you like your history with a side of epic views and questionable battle reenactments, you’re in luck. Pembrokeshire is packed with castles, including Pembroke Castle, the birthplace of Henry VII, and Carew Castle, which comes with its own tidal mill (fancy, right?).
Visit Folly Farm
Think farmyard fun meets adventure park—with everything from petting zoos to vintage fairground rides, play areas, and even lions. Yes, actual lions. In Wales. Who knew?

Walk, Surf, Explore
With some of the best beaches in the world (yes, really), incredible coastal walks, and waves to rival Cornwall, this is outdoor heaven. Whether you're surfing at Freshwater West, hiking the coast path, or just lounging on Barafundle Bay pretending you're in the Maldives, it's all here.
The Spec Inn
And, of course, after a long day of exploring, adventuring, and possibly getting lost, The Spec is waiting with a pint, a roaring fire, and a Sunday roast that’ll make you weep with joy. Sounds like a perfect trip to us!
