Places to eat & drink

Other Places to Eat & Drink Locally (But Honestly, We’d Just Stay at The Spec)

Look, we’re not saying you need to go anywhere else—we’ve got legendary Sunday lunches, cracking breakfasts, and a bar that’s always stocked—but if you fancy a little food adventure, here are some top-notch local spots (we promise we won’t take it personally).

Paternoster Farm

Recently voted one of the best, if not the best, places to eat in Wales, and also ranked among the finest in the UK by the Good Food Guide. If you’re after a proper food experience, this is a must-visit. And because we’re nice, if you want to enjoy a few drinks while you’re there, we’ll even nip you up the road and pick you up—yes, we are that accommodating!

Stackpole Inn

This place has more awards than Taylor Swift, and even the Hairy Bikers filmed an episode here. It’s a multiple-time winner of Best Pub in Britain, though obviously, we think that title belongs to The Spec—but hey, we’ll allow it.

The Old Point House, Angle

If you’re a fan of the sea (or just fancy a pint with a stunning view), this historic waterside pub is a truly unique experience. And if you love sensational seafood, you’re in for a treat—fresh, local, and absolutely delicious. Pair it with a drink, soak up the coastal vibes, and pretend you’re in a travel magazine.

So there you have it—some seriously good local spots. But, let’s be honest, The Spec is still the best place to be—and you won’t have to go far for another round!
